With Superman as his mentor. …Reluctantly. Because well, The Red Panty refused to be mentored by anyone else. Not that Batman or Wonder Woman would want him anywhere near them anyway.

The Red Panty worships the ground- err… the air Superman flies in. And for some reason, he has a perverse infatuation with his mentor’s red… outerwear. Thus the inspiration for his costume and superhero identity.

Yes, this is from DC Universe Online. And yes, I started late. But I was waiting for the servers to empty out a little. Maybe it’s just me, but having too many players on the same map working on the same quest can be quite annoying. And not very immersive either.

Now Red Panty up there is not my main character in the game. I created him for fun. And also to add some humor into the occasional roleplay I do with the other roleplayers in the game.

My main is a hero named Swiftlet, and Batman is her mentor. Swiftlet has a knack for gadgetries (that’s her mobile sentry you see in the screenshot there) and is pretty fast on her feet too. She’s still having a little bit of trouble using a grappling hook (yes, Batman is giving her hell for that) so she’s sticking to crawling up walls for the time being. She’s had years of training with various kinds of martial arts and is using a pair of katars as her primary weapon.

Skills aside, Swiftlet has an unhealthy obsession with Nightwing. And Batman. And Robin. And Superman. And The Flash. And… well, any other superheroes or sidekicks in tights. …But especially Nightwing. On her time off, she could spend hours stalking them or simply watching them from afar. It’s one of the reasons why Nightwing is almost impossible to be found unless he has an assignment for her. Or why Batman and Superman would hole up in the Hall of Heroes with Wonder Woman whenever they’re at the Watchtower. Since entry is limited to members of the JLA, it’s the only place Swiftlet can’t enter. But that isn’t going to stop her. Oh no, it’s only a matter of time before she’s a part of the league. (She hopes.)

Speaking of the Watchtower, Swiftlet hates that place. Sure, it has everything she needs to resupply, and it’s also the only place where she could openly admire many of the JLA members without having to worry about villains or their henchmen jumping on her, but the darn place is just too big. Half the time she’s in there, she’s trying to figure out how to get to the Tech Wing from the Meta Wing or from the Main Hall to the Broker Room. Why can’t they just put everything in one big room and be done with it? Urgh.
